Stop draining external disks

External storage can be attached to a storage system.

Prerequisites

You can stop the drain operation on an external disk only if it is currently draining.

Steps

To stop a draining operation on an external disk:
  1. Select the storage system.
  2. Select Storage > Storage Resource Pools.
  3. Select the SRP and click An icon showing the letter i to view its details.
  4. Click the number next to Disk Groups.
  5. Select an external disk group and click An icon showing the letter i to view its details.
  6. Select the external disk that you want to stop draining, click An icon showing three dots arranged in a vertical row, signifying a menu with more options, and click Stop Draining.
  7. Do one of the following:
    • Click Run Now to perform the operation now.
    • Expand Run Now and click Add to Job List to add this task to the job list, from which you can schedule or run the task at your convenience. For more information, see Schedule jobs and Preview jobs.
